It’s a tender track built above a reverb-soaked acoustic guitar pattern, with the influence of mid-2000s pop balladry combining with subtle R&B rhythms and almost country-esque countermelodies. Her voice is brimming with emotion as she sings lyrics that tap into raw moments of reflection. “I wrote this song in the midst of mourning a relationship, so I took inspiration from all of the texts I sent to friends and the little notes I’d written down on my phone.
